About the position

The Human System Integration Engineer III at PMAT Inc. is responsible for conducting comprehensive analysis, design, and assessment of requirements across various domains to support Command and Control capabilities for the Department of Defense (DoD) customer. This role involves working closely with the Navy Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) in San Diego, CA, focusing on the Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) phases of the acquisition lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Identify risks associated with the development and implementation of Architectures for RDT&E phases.
  • Validate data and develop technical drawings documenting IT architectures and related specifications for various platforms.
  • Provide functional knowledge and technical support for developing enterprise architecture, including data structure supporting Systems Modeling Language (SySML).
  • Monitor and track existing architectures focused on programs and their interfaces.
  • Modify existing technical drawings for IT architectures and specifications.
  • Manage system operations and administration for modeling and simulation tools within an Integrated Modeling Environment (IME).
  • Develop target architectures based on Defense in Depth Information Assurance Functional Architecture (DFIA).
  • Create roadmaps for Science and Technology (S&T) and forecast systems for integration into Enterprise Architecture (EA).
  • Review and analyze Acquisition Engineering documentation for programs in the RDT&E lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an ABET accredited engineering curriculum or related field with eight years of experience.
  • Six years of experience in Government related Research and Development (R&D), Testing and Evaluation (T&E), and systems acquisition programs.
  • Experience in comparative multi-domain HSI engineering analysis and impact assessments.
  • Four years of relevant HSI engineering experience in at least three specified areas such as design, installation, integration, and test support.
  • Experience applying engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience providing functional knowledge and technical support for developing enterprise architecture to support MBSE.
  • Experience managing system operations and administration for modeling and simulation tools within the Naval Integrated Modeling Environment (IME).
  • Experience developing roadmaps for Science and Technology (S&T) and providing forecasted systems for integration into Navy's Enterprise Architecture (EA).
  • Experience developing mitigation plans and corrective actions for risks identified during Cyber Risk Assessments.
  • Experience evaluating independent cybersecurity technical assessments.
