About the position

As a Systems Engineer I at ENGIE, you will play a crucial role in a diverse team focused on developing innovative energy storage solutions. This position requires a technical degree in electrical engineering or a related field, along with experience in power systems and renewable energy. You will collaborate with various engineering disciplines to design and implement battery energy storage systems, manage projects from design to operation, and support the operations team, all while adhering to internal guidelines and ensuring project success.

Responsibilities

• Work with the engineering team to design and commission stationary energy storage systems based on lithium-ion battery technology.
• Implement improvement ideas from installation crews and operations.
• Document lessons learned and create feedback loops to address issues in battery energy storage systems (BESS).
• Participate in problem-solving for various components or at the system level.
• Identify and resolve conflicts, inter-dependencies, and program issues efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with ENGIE's BESS internal guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of renewable systems, battery storage, and generation system design.
• Understanding of relevant standards and electrical studies for utility applications.
• Experience in developing electrical construction drawing sets and SCADA systems.
• Ability to create, read, and interpret construction plans and specifications.
