About the position

At Sierra Space, we dream big—advocating the exploration of space, keeping service members safe, and creating the systems that keep our world united and sustain our way of living. As a Systems Engineer II - Mission Analyst, you will leverage your skills and expertise to research, architect, model, simulate, test, certify, and improve cutting-edge products and services. Your role will involve developing complex system architectures within contextual modeling platforms, guiding them from operational concept through preliminary and detailed design, simulation, and testing using progressive tools. As a cross-functional engineer, you will take on system-level ownership of new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle. In the Orbital Missions and Services (OMS) division, you will focus on the design, build, and operations of small satellites in support of commercial services and national security space. You will work to define mission parameters and derive driving mission requirements as part of a novel spacecraft development using mission-level modeling and simulation techniques. Your responsibilities will include creating constellation models to evaluate mission performance parameters, ensuring that you understand mission objectives to produce relevant mission modeling and simulation data. This position is crucial for the success of our mission to push the boundaries of what is possible in space exploration and technology.
