About the position

The Systems Engineer II position at Raytheon involves supporting the Electronic Warfare Systems product line within the Advanced Airborne RF Systems Engineering department. The role focuses on determining and documenting product requirements, ensuring clarity and traceability, and managing changes to requirements throughout the program lifecycle. The selected candidate will work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve program objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Determine product or system requirements based on customer information and provide traceability to these requirements.
  • Capture requirements in specifications and interface control documents.
  • Ensure requirements are clear, concise, understandable, and verifiable.
  • Trace the flow of requirements between different parts of the program to ensure complete information is available.
  • Assess the impact of requirement changes on the overall system and subsystems, and track and control implemented changes.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of prior systems engineering experience.
  • Experience with systems design and requirements engineering on EW/Radar programs.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong RF experience and knowledge of microwave modules.
  • Technical team leadership experience of minimum of three engineers.
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (Cameo Enterprise Architecture, SysML specifically).
  • Experience leading STE development and prime hardware test activities.
  • Experience with security requirements related to government testing.
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance with investigation within five years.
