About the position

The position involves collaborating with engineers to develop complex system models and simulations for satellite missions, focusing on digital engineering solutions and supporting integrated product teams. The role requires a strong foundation in systems engineering and the ability to communicate effectively within a technical environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other engineers to develop end-to-end models of complex systems using Systems Modeling Languages (SysML, UAFML).
• Develop physics-based and mathematics-based models of satellite missions using commercial and custom simulation tools, scripts, and macros.
• Identify and implement modern digital engineering solutions to traditional engineering processes.
• Support Integrated Product Teams (IPT's) and Engineering working groups to review and assess the maturity of engineering artifacts, CONOPs, system interfaces, and architecture products.
• Assist with decision support and technical consultation, meeting coordination, and leading the development of initial recommendations for Government decision-makers.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience with a BS, 0-2 years with an MS, or 0 years with a PhD.
• Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI Clearance with Poly.
• Bachelor's degree in systems engineering or related technical/scientific fields such as engineering, operations research, or related STEM degree program.
• Familiarity with industry space-based remote sensing capabilities.
• Understanding of basic Digital Engineering concepts.
• Professional oral and written communication skills.
• Strong business acumen and ability to relate professionally inside the work environment.
• A passion for learning, helping others, sharing team knowledge, and contributing value to the mission.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) tools such as Systems Tool Kit (STK).
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as Cameo and Rhapsody.
• Experience with Object-Oriented Programming languages such as SysML, UAFML, Python, C++, Java.
• Experience with Atlassian productivity tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
• Experience with supporting the Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD).
