About the position

As a Systems Engineer II at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in the Defense Surface Navigation Systems Team, focusing on the design, development, and integration of complex inertial navigation systems. This position involves engaging in all phases of the systems life cycle, from business development to product end-of-life, while collaborating across various engineering disciplines to drive growth and achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Use advanced knowledge of Systems Engineering discipline, processes, and tools to complete and ensure compliance of various project subtasks.
• Support system design team meetings with internal and external customers.
• Help to develop and define engineering processes in the organization.
• Provide technical guidance in identifying and resolving system issues, minimizing downtime, and ensuring systems remain operational.
• Identify opportunities for process and system improvements, implement enhancements, and contribute to the optimization of operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• At least 1+ years of engineering experience.
• Excellent communication and people-oriented skills.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with guidance and navigation systems.
• Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry or similar industry.
• Knowledge of the systems/product development lifecycle.
• Experience with software programming and scripting languages like C/Java, MATLAB, Simulink, or Python.
• Lab experience testing and debugging complex electronic circuits and software using Oscilloscope, network analyzers, multimeters, or logic analyzers.
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) with Cameo / SysML.
• DOD Security Clearance or ability to attain one.
