About the position

As a Systems Engineer on the Cybersecurity team at Spectrum, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-wide Operations Support Systems (OSS) applications. This position involves application administration, supporting all Charter Divisions, and participating in the full life-cycle of systems engineering activities to create high-quality, scalable solutions. You will collaborate with internal departments to review integration capabilities and develop core code modules, ensuring the security and efficiency of our information systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, and implementation of OSS applications and their associated operating systems and databases.
• Participate in the full life-cycle of systems engineering activities.
• Lead internal departments in reviewing existing integration capabilities, data sources, and proposed solution designs for feasibility, cost, and functionality.
• Develop core code modules, unit test tools, and release notes for enhancements and bug fixes.
• Conduct design sessions and collaborate to create configuration designs for various environments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of application development work experience.
• 4+ years of network OSS application work experience.
• 3+ years of system administration work experience.
• 3+ years of database support and development work experience.
• 3+ years of enterprise application integration work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• In-depth knowledge of development tools, application frameworks, and testing tools.
• In-depth knowledge of OSS applications and software.
• Advanced knowledge of network and systems engineering concepts, including NetApp Clustered On-TAP, Cisco UCS, and VMWare systems.

Nice-to-haves

• CCNA/CCNP or equivalent certification.
• CCIE Data Center or equivalent certification.
• CCIE Routing and Switching or equivalent certification.
