About the position

The Systems Engineer III at DEI Technologies LLC is responsible for enhancing tactical network systems through effective systems engineering processes. This role requires solid experience in network engineering and technical expertise throughout the lifecycle of acquisition programs, ensuring the development, testing, and integration of advanced tactical network capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform systems engineering processes, procedures, and best practices to support acquisition programs.
• Provide engineering support on transport and networking architecture for tactical network capabilities.
• Conduct thorough technical evaluations and assessments of network performance and architectures.
• Engage in Capability Set (CS) and Integrated Tactical Network (ITN) activities to evaluate and integrate new technologies.
• Collaborate with various organizations and stakeholders to coordinate interoperability considerations.
• Review acquisition documentation and translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Review Government performance work statements and contractor proposals for technical accuracy.
• Provide technical expertise at field locations and PM TN equipment labs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, testing, or a related field.
• A minimum of six (6) years of tactical network systems engineering experience, or an additional seven (7) years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Valid Secret security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in designing and implementing LANs or VLANs.
• Proficiency with routing protocols, multicast, routing configurations, and IPv4/IPv6 addressing.
• Experience in network protocol analysis using tools such as Sniffer or Wireshark.
• Familiarity with VMware and commercial communications equipment.
• Knowledge of RF engineering and tactical communications systems.
