About the position

The Systems Engineer III position at KMS Solutions involves providing System Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support for the Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) Major Program Manager for Undersea Systems. The role focuses on Undersea Warfare Systems and requires a blend of technical expertise and operational experience to support various defense initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide SETA support services to the Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) Major Program Manager for Undersea Systems.
• Conduct overall planning and direction of support efforts to PEO IWS 5.0.
• Collaborate with Surface TYCOMs and Fleet Staffs to enhance operational effectiveness.
• Mature technology and perform technology development, testing, integration, and transition to production.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Scientific, or Technical Discipline.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant technical and operational experience with Advanced Processing Builds (APBs) of the Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical System (SWFTS) or Advanced Capability Builds (ACBs) of the AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 Surface Ship ASW Combat System.
• Prior experience with Surface TYCOMs and Fleet Staffs.
• Experience in maturing technology and performing technology development, testing, integration, and transition to production.
• Prior Military or DOD Civilian experience involving Undersea Warfare Operations.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree in a Technical Field.
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
