About the position

The Systems Engineer Intern position at Schneider Electric offers an opportunity to work within a global leader in electrical energy distribution and control. This internship, set for Summer 2025, involves collaborating with design teams to create use cases, document product requirements, and support testing strategies. Interns will engage in cross-functional teamwork, contributing to the development of innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Create use cases of complex systems.
  • Document and support Offer Marketing to create product level requirements.
  • Support meetings to document and create product level specifications with design teams.
  • Follow up on progress regarding test strategies and test cases.
  • Communicate progress of the overall project or subsystem.
  • Work with System Test Leader, Lead System Engineers, Firmware & Hardware Engineers in system construction setup.
  • Execute applicable test cases and report test progress.
  • Provide progress and issue tracking.
  • Be proactive about challenges or constraints within a project.
  • Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including materials, manpower, and time necessary.
  • Work alongside project management teams to monitor progress and implementation of initiatives.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or other STEM field from a 4-year accredited university.
  • Experience working with Jama, Jira, or other systems platforms.
  • Experience in a new product development environment.
  • Demonstrated success in new product development as a System Engineer.
  • Ability to articulate responsibilities and role in product development.
  • Experience defining System Use cases and test verification validation.
  • Ability to translate User Experience information into use case scenarios.
  • Willingness to work in a process-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated project development and leadership skills.
  • Experience with software engineering, customer experience, and electronics development is preferred.
