About the position

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Systems Engineer-IT to work on a team responsible for delivering and maintaining AWS infrastructure. The role involves implementing new features to enhance application performance and user experience, as well as performing operations and sustainment on AWS environments to ensure system availability and security compliance.

Responsibilities

• Implementing new features to improve application performance and user experience on AWS environments.
• Working closely with users and teammates to deploy and integrate new software and infrastructure using CI/CD methodologies.
• Performing operations and sustainment on AWS environments, including user account management, server/application patching, and system health monitoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a science or technology related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience working with cloud infrastructure such as Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or Amazon Web Services.
• Experience troubleshooting software issues and responding to user helpdesk tickets.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI w/poly.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience managing AWS infrastructure, including provisioning EC2 instances and configuring RDS.
• Experience with Active Directory.
• Experience with Ansible or shell scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with standard DOD security practices such as STIG compliance and system accreditations.
