About the position

As a Systems Engineer IV at Spectrum Enterprise, you will design, develop, and implement innovative applications and platform solutions to enhance client experiences. This role involves leading improvements in security, service delivery, and data center management while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the development of enterprise technology solutions for major brands.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement innovative applications and platform solutions.
  • Lead improvements for security, service delivery, data center, service desk management, OSS, and BSS.
  • Develop system enhancements using an established corporate operational playbook.
  • Guide the adoption of approved data center architecture, design, and security solutions.
  • Provide network security, high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability for mission-critical business systems.
  • Design, deploy, and maintain application and platform ecosystems and related back-office infrastructures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve major APO and system issues.
  • Test and validate new hardware and connections.

Requirements

  • Six or more years of experience as a system or server administrator.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Expert in ticketing and software tools to support current operations.
  • Knowledge of Raw Iron, SteelCloud, Elastic Cloud, OpenStack, and AWS.
  • Familiar with Linux, Unix, Oracle, Splunk, OSI stack, and application architectures.
  • Knowledgeable of the OSI Model and TCP/IP.
  • Leadership and English communication skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and work in a fast-paced team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Spectrum Enterprise products, services, and culture.
  • Experience with Ciena, Blue Planet, Kubernetes, Red Hat, and/or Gitlab.
  • CCNA or CCNP certification.
