About the position

The Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting the technological infrastructure that enables the success of OPC, GTC, and GSOC. This role involves designing, deploying, and managing Windows and Linux desktop and server environments, as well as architecting and implementing cloud-based solutions through AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft 365. The position ensures system scalability, reliability, and security while managing both physical and virtual servers and core cloud services. The Systems Engineer also plays a crucial role in security and compliance, collaborating with various technical and business teams, and providing technical support and expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage Windows and Linux desktop and server environments and related storage infrastructure.
  • Architect and implement cloud-based solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft 365) to support business needs.
  • Maintain and optimize physical and virtual servers and workstation infrastructure.
  • Monitor system performance, conduct regular system audits, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Implement automation and configuration management; plan and perform system upgrades.
  • Ensure systems are secure and compliant with industry standards and regulations.
  • Participate in regular security audits and conduct regular security assessments.
  • Work closely with development, operations, and support teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of systems.
  • Provide direct technical support for planning, coordination, programming, and implementation of releases, upgrades, and changes.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 4 years in designing and managing technology infrastructure environments, cloud-based solutions, conducting system assessments, and troubleshooting for Systems Engineer III.
  • Minimum of 6 years for Systems Engineer IV and 8 years for Systems Engineer V in similar roles.

Nice-to-haves

  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, and ITILv3 or ITILv4 Foundation.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins).
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.
