About the position

The Systems Engineer (Mid-Level) role involves providing engineering, technical, and programmatic support to the client acquisition program office. The position focuses on program management, systems engineering, operations analysis, and cyber security, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to meet program milestones and requirements. The engineer will work both on-site and off-site, collaborating with various stakeholders to facilitate technical reviews and documentation while maintaining program records and supporting risk management efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Engineering Support Services (ESS) to the Program Executive Office and Systems Engineering Teams.
  • Support and complete major technical reviews and produce required acquisition documentation.
  • Manage program needs and external requirements, ensuring timely resource allocation.
  • Provide oversight of technical baseline and support risk management and cost analysis efforts.
  • Develop and review technical and programmatic Systems Engineering (SE) and Test and Evaluation (T&E) plans and documentation.
  • Facilitate and participate in SE and T&E meetings, providing detailed summary records.
  • Support configuration management and maintain program records/library.
  • Draft, review, and staff SE, T&E, and Reliability briefings and correspondence.
  • Act as a liaison between internal program office staff and external organizations.
  • Provide SE, T&E, or Reliability specialty services as applicable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Engineering.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • At least 3 years of defense, intelligence and/or civil agency program systems engineering experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Understanding of weapons and/or automated information systems design and support processes.
  • Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools.
  • Understanding of Department of Defense processes for systems design and acquisition.
  • Demonstrated ability to support diverse programmatic and technical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong MS Office suite skills.
