About The Position

The Senior Infrastructure Systems Engineer at Salesforce is responsible for overseeing and managing client-facing applications, servers, and networks in a 24x7 environment. This role involves building and maintaining a cloud computing infrastructure, focusing on high availability, automation, capacity, monitoring, and security. The engineer will work on multiple projects, resolve complex issues, and provide technical leadership while ensuring system reliability and performance.

Requirements

• 5 - 8 years of System Engineering experience with large scale deployments; 8+ years for Senior levels.
• Proficiency in coding with Bash and GO.
• Proven AWS experience.
• Experience designing, implementing, and documenting production infrastructure.
• Strong Linux experience, especially RHEL.
• Solid understanding of Containers, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Basic Networking skills.
• Proficient with GIT.
• Experience with IaaC, Terraform, Helm.
• Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins, Spinnaker experience a plus).
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation.
• A related technical degree required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Puppet and configuration management tools.
• Experience with Ansible.
• Experience in eCommerce and with eCommerce Platforms.
• Proficient with Python.
• Experience with a Service Mesh (Istio).

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage Salesforce's client-facing applications, servers, and network 24x7.
• Recommend and implement changes to improve stability, performance, and security of a large scale Linux computing platform.
• Participate in project planning, design, and delivery processes.
• Proactively maintain system availability, reliability, and performance.
• Drive efficiency through standardization, automation, documentation, and cross-training.
• Provide technical leadership by recommending technology improvements and best practices.
