About the position

The Systems Engineer Performance role at Innova Solutions involves supporting major projects aimed at transforming in-building cell sites to enhance network performance and customer experience. The position requires expertise in RF engineering, particularly in the design and optimization of 5G and LTE networks, and involves managing various aspects of network integration and performance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support major projects to transform in-building cell sites for improved network performance.
• Manage search area issuance, candidate assessment, and approvals.
• Process regulatory compliance using internal tools, including RF emission study evaluation and E911 filings.
• Ensure proper integration and optimization of new cell sites into the network.
• Perform in-building cell design, including antenna selection and placement, and issue RF Design Sheets to engineering teams.
• Contribute to network design using knowledge of 5G, LTE, CDMA 1x, EVDO, and microwave technologies.
• Prepare timely FCC/FAA and FAS submissions.
• Conduct data analysis of switch statistics and drive data through testing for potential sites and system optimization.
• Maintain accuracy of databases and tools for proper reporting.
• Get involved in all aspects of in-building deployment from planning to final testing and acceptance.

Requirements

• A degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science.
• Knowledge of RF theory and practice, as well as 5G and LTE/VoLTE technology.
• Experience in the design of 5G and LTE/VoLTE networks.
• Expert knowledge of propagation modeling software such as Atoll.
• Understanding of 5G and LTE network KPIs and key parameters.
• Knowledge of various in-building RF tools such as iBwave.
• Knowledge of in-building DAS systems (JMA, Solid, CommScope).
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, including VB macro creation and worksheet manipulation.
• Experience with a project workflow tool, e.g., Fuze.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in RF design and optimization.
