The Systems Engineer position focuses on the integration of Python development and SQL database management, specifically with PostgreSQL, to support the design and implementation of aerospace systems. The role requires a strong emphasis on requirements management, utilizing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies such as Systems Modeling Language (SysML) to develop comprehensive system architectures, requirements, and behavioral models. The engineer will be responsible for capturing and defining requirements through a disciplined approach to requirements engineering, ensuring a thorough understanding by asking challenging questions about the requirements. In this role, the engineer will construct and implement systems engineering solutions that include detailed design, modeling, performance optimization, and conducting technical reviews. A critical aspect of the position is defining and managing system-level requirements, ensuring traceability from stakeholder needs to wiring design specifications. The engineer will develop detailed wiring diagrams, schematics, and specifications based on system-level models and engineering requirements, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers, to integrate wiring and electrical components into overall aircraft architectures. Additionally, the engineer will support system integration activities, which encompass prototype builds, installation, and testing phases. The preparation and maintenance of comprehensive technical documentation, including system models, wiring diagrams, interface control documents (ICDs), and design verification reports, are essential responsibilities. The role also involves implementing AI best practices in the design and development of systems, integrating AI components into system models to enhance functionality and performance. This position is critical in ensuring that aerospace systems meet rigorous standards and specifications, contributing to the overall success of the projects undertaken by the organization.
