About the position

The Systems Engineer at Chugach Government Solutions (CGS) is responsible for providing engineering support services for C5I development and the design of SEAWATCH, which includes integrated hardware and software solutions. This role involves requirements analysis, integrated system design, and the integration of external systems and navigational sensors, as well as the distribution of navigational data across information networks. The position requires conducting research and calculations on proposed designs and is a full-time, onsite role.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze requirements and propose updates to existing requirements.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to provide recommendations based on system requirements.
  • Develop optical architecture, single line and block diagrams, and perform Space Weight and Power Cooling (SWaP-C) analysis.
  • Create Bill Of Materials (BOM) and SELC artifacts for prototype solutions.
  • Develop test procedures based on requirements and compile test reports.
  • Assemble, prototype/stage, and conduct tests on proposed solutions.
  • Establish system architecture and initial configuration baselines, performing configuration audits and change management for systems entering test evolutions.
  • Develop and review logistics-related documents such as equipment support manuals and maintenance procedures.
  • Organize engineering team activities, facilitate integrated team meetings, and prepare engineering artifacts presentations for System Engineering Technical Review (SETR) events.
  • Document changes to established baselines, including software and hardware version descriptions, in accordance with C5ISC change management framework.
  • Support the configuration control board process.

Requirements

  • Eight (8) years of applicable work experience.
  • Experience performing system engineering development and analysis.
  • Experience with maritime navigation standards.
  • Experience in EC/TCTO development processes and milestones.
  • US Citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SECRET security clearance.
