About the position

The Systems Engineer Senior position at GDIT focuses on supporting software for tactical Intelligence Family of Systems, specifically the DCGS-A Mobile system. This role involves delivering tailored solutions to complex problems, ensuring the operational readiness of communication systems, and enhancing user experience through application development. The position requires a Top Secret/SCI clearance and emphasizes career growth and professional development within a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Initialize, place into operation, and troubleshoot software interfaces of specific C5ISR communication systems.
• Assist with software installation, configuration, patching, and maintenance of DCGS-A family of systems.
• Responsible for backup and disaster recovery of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Regularly perform software, hardware, and network troubleshooting and problem identification and resolution.
• Assist with remote system administration software, including troubleshooting and installation.
• Assist Information Assurance staff with documentation required for accreditation and compliance with directives and regulations.
• Participate in special projects as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in a computer-related field.
• 7+ years of related experience in systems engineering.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Servers, RHEL Servers, and VMWare Servers.
• Technical skills in Puppet, Windows client software, patching, upgrading, and maintaining systems.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to obtain a CI Poly if required.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience with DCGS-A support (35T/353T0).
• Understanding of networking principles and system network configuration.
