About the position
The Senior Systems Engineer will manage and execute engineering activities, focusing on developing technical approaches and plans that align with customer capabilities. This role involves advanced engineering concepts, problem-solving, and providing systems and technical engineering services across various systems, including tactical and training systems. The engineer will also support software development and ensure operational requirements are met, while maintaining traceability from engineering products to user-defined capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage and execute engineering activities to support customer capabilities.
- Develop advanced engineering concepts and solutions to complex engineering problems.
- Implement approaches for capturing, analyzing, and tracing artifacts related to system performance and requirements.
- Provide systems and technical engineering services, including planning, hardware requirements, interface design, testing, and documentation.
- Support software engineering development and operational requirements.
- Develop design reference missions, use cases, and model diagrams.
Requirements
- Master's degree in an engineering discipline with 10+ years of professional experience in systems engineering, or a Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience.
- Experience in requirements definition, system design parameters, concept operation, risk assessment, and performance analyses.
- US Citizenship is required.
Nice-to-haves
- Engineering experience supporting U.S. Navy Combat Systems such as AEGIS and Integrated Combat System (ICS).
