About the position

The Senior Systems Engineer plays a crucial role in a diverse team focused on developing innovative energy storage solutions, particularly in battery storage technologies. This position involves technical expertise in lithium-ion batteries, project management from design to operation, and collaboration with various teams to ensure successful project execution.

Responsibilities

• Identify project requirements and design battery energy storage systems (BESS).
• Specify system components and generate comprehensive bills-of-material for cost evaluation.
• Support the business development team in engaging prospective utility companies.
• Manage all technical aspects of project execution from design through installation and operation.
• Train Operations & Maintenance (O&M) technicians and assist with troubleshooting system issues.
• Review system drawing sets for bidding, permitting, and construction compliance with standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in renewable systems engineering.
• Extensive expertise in battery technology for storage applications.
• Ability to create, read, and interpret construction plans and specifications.
