About the position
The position involves developing and managing the simulation framework for the Missile Defense System (MDS) at Lockheed Martin. The role focuses on systems engineering support, including requirements management, performance analysis, and the execution of test cases to verify product capabilities. The candidate will work in a collaborative environment dedicated to national security projects, contributing to the technical baseline and ensuring system-level behavior meets expectations.
Responsibilities
- Develop the modeling and simulation (M&S) framework to support the Missile Defense Agency.
- Conduct performance analyses and trade studies.
- Utilize system-level thinking to integrate tools and products with OSF for wargame simulations.
- Perform data analysis to confirm nominal system-level behavior and identify root causes of product issues.
- Execute test cases for verification of requirements and new product capabilities.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain an interim secret clearance.
- Background in systems engineering, including documentation, requirements, verification, and architecture/design.
- Experience in model-based systems engineering (MBSE).
- Understanding of SysML and system-level requirement lifecycle.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with DOORS.
- Experience with requirement traceability from DOORS to planning tools like JIRA and Agility.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience breaking requirements into verifiable test specifications.
- Experience with MDA ground test or flight test systems.
