About the position

The Systems Engineer - Tools Management role focuses on ensuring the proper functioning of COTS products in a secure environment. The position involves event management, system/application health monitoring, and performance tuning across various platforms. The engineer will assist in testing and deploying updates, as well as developing documentation for the Tools Team and users.

Responsibilities

• Ensure COTS products function properly in a secure environment with PKI-based authentication and corporate authorization services.
• Assist with testing and deploying hotfixes, patches, and new releases of the tools suite.
• Develop knowledge articles, documentation, and work instructions for the Tools Team and tools users.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 14 years of experience OR HS/GED and 19 years of experience.
• DOD 8570 Certification is Required: CompTIA Security+.
• Proficient in Brocade, Cisco, Juniper JUNOS Network Operating System, Network Device SA, Palo Alto.
• Proficient in Linux/Unix Commands and Windows Server OS.
• Experience with RHEL 7x, 8x or 9x, RHEL Server Administration, Web Applications, and Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022.
