About the position

The Systems Engineer V position at Belcan Services Group involves providing technical solutions and support primarily for Oracle EBS in finance and manufacturing functional areas. The role requires collaboration with business users and stakeholders to develop and maintain application systems, oversee projects, and ensure effective integration solutions. The engineer will also be responsible for technical documentation, performance tuning, and post-deployment support.

Responsibilities

• Provide solutions and technical advice, working directly with business users, System Analysts, stakeholders, and DBAs.
• Work on General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, and Fixed Assets functional areas.
• Perform application system administration functions specific to application setup, configuration, and maintenance.
• Oversee small projects and/or tasks or technical object development and phases of larger projects.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, architectural diagrams, and data models for cloud-based deployments.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance in the development and implementation of integration solutions.
• Develop reports in Oracle BI Publisher/XML Publisher and register them as concurrent programs as required.
• Convert Oracle Seeded reports to XML reports as needed or recommended.
• Design and develop various PL/SQL programs and register them as concurrent programs to fetch data and write to CSV files in the predefined server location.
• Develop technical solutions with APIs, Advanced PL/SQL, Oracle Forms/Reports, Open Interfaces, UNIX, and OAF.
• Work in EBS/applications integrations using SOA, troubleshooting application, integration, and database-related issues.
• Create packages and stored procedures.
• Prepare unit test plans and involve in testing.
• Prepare reconciliation scripts for post data migration.
• Prepare migrating and deployment documents (MD70, MD120).
• Create concurrent programs to call shell scripts.
• Customize report templates for XML Publisher reports.
• Analyze formal test results to discover and resolve defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.
• Create Oracle Alert triggers.
• Work on performance tuning to improve the performance of various custom PL/SQL packages developed.
• Utilize FND LOAD for data migration of various system administration objects between instances.
• Prepare Functional Specification (MD050), Technical Design (MD070), setup, and UTP documents.
• Provide post-deployment support as required.
• Involve in Deployment Code Plan before cutover, validating all Integration Endpoints, Recon Reports, and generating reports through Excel Macros.
• Create test data in the TEST Environment based on scenarios given to test functionality and for defect management.
• Work with the reporting team to ensure that correct data is presented in the reports and obtain signoff from business.

Requirements

• Comfortable with Oracle EBS and its functional areas including Finance and Manufacturing.
• Experience in application system administration functions specific to application setup, configuration, and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of PL/SQL, APIs, and Oracle Forms/Reports.
• Experience in developing reports in Oracle BI Publisher/XML Publisher.
• Ability to oversee small projects and coordinate activities of teams, schedules, and resources.
• Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting application and database-related issues.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with cloud-based deployments.
• Familiarity with SOA for application integrations.
• Knowledge of UNIX and OAF.
