About the position

The Systems Engineer V is a key member of the Operations team responsible for providing data center and systems support for the company's SaaS infrastructure. This role involves designing, engineering, building, implementing, and supporting solutions for remote clients, with a focus on Microsoft Windows, VMware, and hybrid SAN infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills and experience in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain both Linux and Windows servers, ensuring high performance and availability.
  • Perform system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes across both operating systems.
  • Document and diagram infrastructure designs, processes, server configurations, and data flows.
  • Administer Windows Server 2019 and newer, including Windows Failover Clustering.
  • Oversee multiple IIS web farms in geographically dispersed data centers and cloud environments.
  • Administration and management of Windows File/Print servers.
  • Administration and management of FTP/SFTP (Serv-U).
  • Develop and utilize PowerShell scripts to automate tasks.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Administer Windows Active Directory, including DNS, Group Policies, Users, and Security Groups.
  • Manage and maintain all VMware vCenters and ESXi hosts in geographically dispersed datacenters.
  • Lead and coordinate IT projects from planning to deployment, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Serve as a cloud engineer for management and administration of cloud hosted services in AWS/Azure/Google Cloud platforms.
  • Manage and maintain Pure and Nimble storage arrays.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, MIS, CS, or a related field, or equivalent experience of 8 years+.
  • Proven experience in managing Windows Active Directory and Windows Failover Clustering.
  • Experience with managing IIS Web farms in complex, multi-datacenter and cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server 2019+ and Always On configurations.
  • Proficiency in administering F5 Load Balancers.
  • Skilled in documentation and diagramming of IT systems.
  • Experience with backup solutions such as CommVault, Rubrik, or similar.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Visio.
  • Experienced in engineering, deploying, troubleshooting, and supporting cloud solutions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud preferred.
