About the position
The Systems Engineer (Voice) role focuses on ensuring the stability and availability of technology environments, particularly in relation to IVR, VoIP, and Call Center technologies. The position requires a strong understanding of ITIL practices, DevOps, and SRE principles, along with experience in cloud-based technologies and CI/CD pipelines. The engineer will provide 24x7 support for production environments and will be involved in workflow design, data analysis, and requirements specification.
Responsibilities
- Lead technology environment stability and availability.
- Provide 24x7 support for production environments.
- Support coverage from 1:30pm EST to 9:30pm EST.
- Work with IVR, VoIP, and Call Center technologies.
- Manage Kubernetes cluster administration and troubleshoot Kubernetes issues.
- Utilize Agile software development methodologies for project delivery and implementation.
- Conduct data analysis and requirements identification/specification.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and associated technologies.
- Develop scripts using Powershell and Python.
- Support production systems, particularly in the financial services industry.
Requirements
- Knowledge of ITIL practices.
- Experience with DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
- Proven experience with IVR, VoIP, and Call Center technologies (on-prem or cloud).
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
- Basic networking knowledge (ping, traceroute, DNS).
- Experience with search and analytics engines (Splunk, ELK).
- EKS experience in managing Kubernetes clusters.
- Experience with Linux/UNIX and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with cloud-based technologies including SaaS solutions and AWS.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and associated technologies.
- Proficiency in Powershell and Python scripting.
- Experience with programming languages including Java.
- Production support experience with financial systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
