About The Position
The Sr Systems Engineer with Data Center Operations position is a critical role within our organization, focusing on the management and optimization of our VMware environments and Azure cloud infrastructure. This position requires a seasoned professional with a minimum of five years of experience in supporting complex IT environments, particularly those involving VMware and Azure technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our data center operations, which are essential for maintaining business continuity and supporting our clients' needs. In this role, you will leverage your expert knowledge of Azure, VMware VCenter, ESX, NSX, SRM, VRM, VROPS, and Terraform to design, implement, and manage infrastructure solutions that meet the evolving demands of our organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to prioritize workloads, troubleshoot issues, and implement changes in a timely manner while adhering to best practices and maintaining high-quality standards. Your strong understanding of networking infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and VPN, as well as enterprise-class storage solutions, will be crucial in ensuring seamless operations. Additionally, you will be expected to engage in formal patch management and change control processes, ensuring that all systems are up-to-date and compliant with industry standards. Familiarity with the ITIL framework will be beneficial as you navigate the complexities of service management and operational excellence. The ability to think creatively and innovatively will be essential as you design new iterations of infrastructure architectures to enhance our capabilities and support future growth. On-call duties will also be part of your responsibilities, requiring you to be available to address urgent issues as they arise.
