About the position

As a Systems Engineer at Actalent, you will be responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance of ground-based Electronic Warfare (EW) systems. This role requires collaboration across multi-functional teams to enhance system performance and resolve engineering challenges, while also engaging in algorithmic design and machine learning frameworks. You will serve as a technical manager, guiding development choices and ensuring alignment with user needs and program constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis, subsystem analysis, architecture/subsystem decomposition, requirements analysis, implementation, integration, verification, and maintenance of ground-based EW systems.
  • Exercise strong knowledge of EW systems and subsystems to develop system and subsystem specifications necessary for meeting performance metrics against a given set of signals of interest.
  • Collaborate across multi-functional teams to identify opportunities for improving use cases, CONOPS, CONEMP, and TTPs.
  • Participate in algorithmic design and machine learning frameworks including classification and identification techniques.
  • Conceive new concepts and approaches to resolve engineering problems.
  • Identify existing or potential problems and provide engineering advice and guidance and/or direct a course of action to resolve engineering matters.
  • Develop presentations for support activities and/or higher headquarters to summarize results of actions against predetermined plans, current status or plans, progress, deficiencies, and outstanding accomplishments.
  • Research and implement state-of-the-art processing technologies tailored for application data processing.
  • Debug and correct system-level problems and issues in conjunction with vendors.
  • Develop and document overall System and Subsystem Level design, function, and performance criteria.
  • Serve as a technical manager with internal/external developer teams within an Agile development process to guide development and design choices, balancing user needs and program constraints.
  • Collaborate with other government agencies, support organizations, and personnel to analyze and manage system-level and software-level requirements and interfaces.
  • Perform requirements analysis and definition; as well as allocation, decomposition, and traceability.
  • Assist with maintaining, managing, and integrating requirements between various tools.
  • Engage in model-based system engineering activities.
  • Represent the program manager in technical and programmatic exchanges to refine concepts, use cases, and system requirements for new capabilities and features.
  • Review and provide input to requirements, specifications, reviews, and presentations material.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of systems engineering experience
  • BS Degree
  • Experience with SIGINT
  • Experience with RF
  • Experience with EW
  • Software and hardware integration experience
  • Active TS clearance (with favorable eligibility for an SCI and must be able to obtain SCI)
