About the position

The Systems Engineer will support the E20 Division of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division, focusing on advanced hypersonics weapons and guided munitions. This role involves providing leadership in system integration, design, and engineering support for various weapon technologies, with an emphasis on enhancing weapon systems for military applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to system integration efforts in the areas of Electromagnetic Railgun, Hypervelocity Projectile, Guided Projectiles, Fire Control, and Conventional Weapon Systems.
• Provide system design, architecture, requirements definition, change proposals, planning support, emerging technology transition support, mentoring, problem solving, and engineering leadership to support Gun and Electric Weapon technologies.
• Support rapid prototyping programs and experimentation with next generation applications with the ultimate goal of delivery of enhanced weapon systems to the warfighter.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.
• Six (6) years professional technical experience which includes at least four (4) years specialized experience performing systems engineering.
