About the position

The position involves managing and maintaining Windows and Linux servers, integrating services into Azure, and ensuring compliance with federal security requirements. The role requires strong technical skills, particularly in cloud services and infrastructure automation, and the ability to work collaboratively within a distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, patch, and maintain Windows and Linux servers.
• Plan and execute the integration of services and appliances into Azure or other secure IaaS environments.
• Review and analyze system logs and events to resolve issues.
• Develop and provide solutions to complex technical issues impacting development, test, and production environments.
• Implement and maintain Entra ID and/or Microsoft Active Directory environments.
• Document standard operating procedures to assist operations teams or end users.
• Develop and deploy Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CI/CD tools and automation platforms like Ansible or Azure Functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Master's degree with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance prior to start date.
• Experience building, configuring, patching, and maintaining Windows and Linux servers.
• Thorough understanding and experience with Azure Cloud services.
• Knowledge of basic networking and network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, SSH, VPNs).
• Hands-on experience reviewing and analyzing system logs and events to resolve issues.
• Experience developing and providing solutions to complex technical issues.
• Experience implementing and maintaining Entra ID and/or Microsoft Active Directory environments.
• Experience documenting standard operating procedures or other documentation.
• Experience developing and deploying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) utilizing CI/CD tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with the Atlassian suite, including Jira and Confluence.
• Ability to obtain IAT Level II (or higher) Certification such as Security + or CISSP within 60 days after start date.
