About the position

The Systems Engineer position requires an individual with a Top Secret TS/ISSA Clearance to analyze, design, and maintain complex systems. The role focuses on improving existing systems, ensuring security compliance, and managing network configurations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in various technical areas, including virtualization, network management, and system troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing systems and identify necessary corrective actions and improvements.
• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot gold image hard drives.
• Coordinate and perform security testing.
• Create network topology diagrams.
• Design, configure, and troubleshoot Routing and Switching systems, with a focus on Cisco expertise.
• Implement L2 and L3 VPN across an MPLS network.
• Install, maintain, and configure Aspera Enterprise Server and Aspera P2P.
• Perform configuration and management of automation solutions.
• Manage Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) and vRealize Suite configurations.
• Configure and manage virtual networks, servers, and workstations.
• Manage VMware vCenter and VMware NSX-T configurations.
• Deploy Hypervisors and manage their configurations.
• Use forensic software including Cellebrite, XRY, WinHex, FTK, and Autopsy.
• Implement Gateway Redundancy Protocols including HSRP and VRRP.
• Manage network IP address allocations and security measures such as firewalls and ACLs.
• Work with Routing Protocols including OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.
• Utilize vulnerability scanning tools to assess system security.
• Work in Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) environments.
• Manage TCP/IP protocol suite, IP subnets, and routing protocols.
• Engineer the design, build, and configuration of Linux servers and virtual infrastructure.
• Administer, troubleshoot, patch, and support Linux servers and virtual infrastructure.
• Implement and troubleshoot VMware virtualization infrastructure.
• Perform risk analysis for proposed IT infrastructure changes.
• Conduct system monitoring and analysis, including root cause analysis of faults and outages.
• Collaborate with vendors on system troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Active - Top Secret TS/ISSA Clearance.
• Demonstrated experience analyzing existing systems and identifying necessary corrective actions and improvements.
• Experience building, maintaining, and troubleshooting gold image hard drives.
• Experience coordinating and performing security testing.
• Experience creating network topology diagrams.
• Expertise in designing, configuring, and troubleshooting Routing and Switching systems (Cisco expertise required).
• Experience implementing L2 and L3 VPN across an MPLS network.
• Experience installing, maintaining, and configuring Aspera Enterprise Server and Aspera P2P.
• Experience performing configuration and management of automation solutions.
• Experience performing configuration and management of Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) and vRealize Suite.
• Experience performing configuration and management of virtual networks and servers and virtual workstations.
• Experience performing configuration and management of VMware vCenter and VMware NSX-T.
• Experience performing Hypervisor deployments.

• Hands-on experience performing risk analysis for proposed IT infrastructure changes.
• Hands-on experience performing system monitoring and analysis, including root cause analysis of system faults and outages.
• Experience working with vendors on system troubleshooting.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience explaining protocols, technical procedures, and processes clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with Software Defined Networking technologies, such as Cisco ACI and VMware NSX-T.
• Experience with load balancing technologies, such as F5 BIG-IP and Citrix NetScaler.
