About the position

The Systems Engineer position at DCS Corporation involves working on next-generation combat vehicles for the U.S. Army. The role requires applying engineering skills in multi-disciplinary research projects, focusing on embedded systems development, robotics, and vehicle electronics. The engineer will engage directly with customers, manage relationships, and lead programs or sub-projects, ensuring the integration of complex engineering components across various disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Apply engineering skills in multi-disciplinary research projects for ground combat vehicles.
  • Leverage knowledge in embedded systems development and integration, computer vision, machine learning, and autonomous navigation.
  • Manage direct customer contact and relationship management.
  • Lead programs or sub-projects and interact with clients to decompose platform requirements into manageable components.
  • Develop and integrate vehicle system/subsystem architectures.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements.
  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher in a related engineering or science discipline.
  • 5 years of experience in relevant fields (10-15 years preferred).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance.
  • Experience with military systems and leadership responsibilities in large projects.
  • Ability to work within a team environment to direct and contribute to Vehicle Network and Data Architecture.
  • Experience with Deterministic and Non-Deterministic Data Bus Architectures.
  • Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering such as SysML UML, DoDAF, UPDM.
  • Experience in developing and integrating data networks across multiple layers of information security.
  • Experience in subsystem and system level integration and testing on vehicle electronics systems.
  • Excellent technical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
