About the position

The Senior Systems Consultant will be a key member of the Platform Engineering team within the Office of Innovation and Technology. This role focuses on providing consultations, training, and guidance for the Office365 platform, including applications such as SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and more. The Consultant will leverage their expertise to offer Microsoft-based solutions, lead training sessions, and foster a community of practice for these applications. The position emphasizes collaboration, mentoring, and supporting the adoption of DevOps principles within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Consult on the use of Office365 applications and products as needed
  • Offer trainings in the use of Office365 applications and products
  • Serve as the resident technical expert for Office365, focusing on SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Power Apps, Stream, Viva Insights, Exchange, and DLP
  • Act as the arbiter of changes, feature updates, and new features for Office365 products
  • Champion and lead changes in the IT environment regarding Office365 products
  • Mentor junior team members and facilitate knowledge transfer
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships
  • Report weekly to supervisor on successes, blockers, and issues
  • Attend meetings, trainings, presentations, and consultations on-site as needed

Requirements

  • At least 7 years' experience with Office365 applications and products, especially SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Exchange, and Power Apps
  • At least 5 years' experience scripting in Powershell, including conducting code reviews
  • At least 3 years' experience offering and leading consultations to diverse groups
  • At least 3 years' experience preparing and delivering trainings, preferably with Office365 products
  • Ability to track and complete tasks independently
  • Ability to complete an FBI background check for CJIS clearance
  • Ability to complete training for HIPAA compliance

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Microsoft's GCC licensing suite
