About the position

The Systems Engineer will support the C4 Directorate in the Integration Design Facility (IDF) by evaluating and testing next-generation C4 technologies and ensuring enterprise interoperability between current programs of record (PoR) systems. This role involves addressing capability gaps in the USSOCOM C4 portfolio and producing technical documentation for technology transition.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and test next-generation C4 technologies and enterprise interoperability.
• Document technical evaluations for transfer to the SOCOM Integration Facility (SIF) or appropriate Program of Record (PoR).
• Provide subject matter expertise in Radio over Internet Protocol (RoIP) solutions.
• Support PEO-C4 Test and Experimentation (TE) initiatives.
• Produce technical documentation including operation and maintenance manuals, quick reference guides, and network/system diagrams.
• Attend conferences and technical training seminars as directed.
• Organize and manage multiple projects, review test plans, and facilitate team coordination for testing.

Requirements

• Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in IP Networking with emphasis on integration with RF networks.
• Bachelor's degree in a field related to Information Technology (i.e., engineering, management).
• DoD approved 8570 baseline certification - IAT Level III requirements.
• CCNP Certification preferred.
• Active Security Clearance - TS required; able to obtain SCI eligibility.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with tactical radio systems and Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks (MANET).
• Experience with configuration and operation of Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Skills in building and configuring VMware virtual environments.
