About the position

The position is for a DevOps Developer focused on Command and Telemetry Integration within Lockheed Martin's National Security Space Remote Sensing Engineering Team. The role involves developing tools and processes for integrating and validating a Command and Telemetry Database, automating design and release processes, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance engineering data visualization and documentation. This position is critical for supporting national security capabilities and requires a U.S. citizenship and a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop tools, processes, and procedures for defining, integrating, and validating a Command and Telemetry Database.
  • Create innovative automation methods to accelerate the design, build, test, and release process using Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Collaborate with customers, contractors, and internal SMEs to identify and resolve issues within the database or Command & Telemetry Interfaces.
  • Develop new and creative ways to capture, present, and visualize engineering data and documentation in a web-based environment.
  • Create web-centric applications, standards, and processes to modernize and automate command and telemetry databases.

Requirements

  • Experience with systems engineering functions including system trade studies, requirements development, system integration, and test planning.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to maintain it and an investigation completed within the last 5 years.

Nice-to-haves

  • 9+ years of experience with spacecraft architecture design, development, integration, and test.
  • Experience developing web-based tools for data entry, visualization, or auditing from a database.
  • Experience with Spacecraft Command and Telemetry Databases and Telemetry Formats.
  • Familiarity with GitLab, Jira, and Confluence Software, including DevSecOps Pipeline development.
  • Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering tools (Cameo, Rhapsody, etc.).
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, HTML, JavaScript, Matlab, Visual Basic, C/C++.
  • Experience with databases like Oracle, APEX, AWS, and PostgreSQL.
