About the position

The position at V2Soft involves providing IT support within a manufacturing environment, specifically for the Dearborn Engine plant. The role focuses on interfacing with IT infrastructure and applications to enhance manufacturing processes, ensuring productivity goals are met while supporting a multi-shift operation. The successful candidate will work closely with a global team to troubleshoot technical issues, analyze data, and contribute to process improvements in a dynamic production setting.

Responsibilities

• Support a multi-shift operation in a manufacturing plant, including weekend production when necessary.
• Provide technical support for IT applications, infrastructure, operating systems, and end-user productivity tools to plant business customers.
• Interface with corporate IT and business owners to prioritize improvement efforts.
• Support Plant Floor Systems and corporate teams in resolving incidents and executing business continuity plans.
• Focus on the integration and long-term maintenance of applications and hardware.
• Ensure accountability for managing assignments and workload assigned.
• Develop, maintain, and share accurate support documentation.
• Support local network equipment in a Cisco-based environment.
• Support local servers across both physical and virtual environments in a Windows and Linux-based ecosystem.
• Support Factory of Tomorrow deployments and expansion efforts utilizing IIOT, iOS, software-defined network, mobile, and Android-based equipment.

Requirements

• Strong desire to learn manufacturing operations and business practices from an IT perspective.
• Broad business and manufacturing perspective is helpful.
• Understanding of computer-based tools and computing infrastructure.
• Interest in processes that support manufacturing is core.
