About the position

The Systems Engineering Technician at Musco will focus on the development and support of controls products, including specification development, integration testing, product release activities, and troubleshooting complex field issues. This role requires a solutions-focused, detail-oriented individual who can effectively communicate and collaborate with various teams to ensure successful product implementation and support.

Responsibilities

• Lead installations at Beta sites and monitor for issues.
• Document and report issues and suggest corrective actions.
• Provide performance and issues updates to R&D, CLC, and Services.
• Assist with specification of product and system level testing.
• Document and report issues and suggest corrective actions during system level testing.
• Provide support to Services with questions/issues and create product issue writeups.
• Lead training for Services on new product/feature releases.
• Participate in design efforts involving interaction between multiple Musco products.
• Assist in designing and specifying internal processes and systems for internal customers.
• Support product release and launch activities across various departments.
• Assist in testing complex field issues involving multiple Musco products or third-party products.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associates degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years experience with Musco controls products preferred.
• Demonstrated PC proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to use common field troubleshooting test and measurement equipment.
• Basic knowledge of networks and communications (RS485, RS232, TCP/IP, etc).
• Willingness to learn and be a team player.
• Self-motivated with strong analytical ability.
• Methodical approach to problem solving with attention to accuracy and detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to deal with frequent priority changes and stressful circumstances.
