About the position

The Lockheed Martin Chelmsford, MA facility is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated engineer to join our growing team as a System Integration and Test Engineer. This exciting position involves supporting the multifaceted test consoles designed, built, and maintained at the Chelmsford facility. As a System Integration and Test Engineer, your mission will be to support the architecture of new test stands to meet system-level requirements, design test solutions, develop algorithms and techniques, and support complex digital, RF, and/or microwave custom automated test equipment (ATE) systems. Test Engineering is vital to the Chelmsford operation as we ensure that we consistently produce reliable products that meet our customer requirements. You will gain unique exposure to the complete design lifecycle, from product design to complete production sell-off. Successful candidates for this role will possess excellent collaboration skills to ensure alignment between our engineering teams, program management teams, and the production floor. A solid background in troubleshooting and debugging is crucial, as this position will involve supporting the existing installed test equipment base used on the production floor, as well as developing new equipment. Responsibilities

  • Support architecting new test stands to system level requirements.
  • Design test solutions and develop algorithms and techniques.
  • Support complex digital, RF, and/or microwave custom automated test equipment (ATE) systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and program management to ensure alignment.
  • Troubleshoot and debug existing installed test equipment on the production floor.
  • Develop new test equipment as required.
  • Generate status reports, project plans, and work instructions using Microsoft Office products.
  • Prepare charts and give presentations outlining technical issues, solutions, or trade studies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products for generating reports and project plans.
  • Experience writing, editing, and supporting existing software code base (LabVIEW or C).
  • Experience in analyzing and resolving problems.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working effectively on teams.
  • Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional level career experience.
  • Proficiency with electrical parameter measurements for components and subassemblies.
  • Proficiency with Radio Frequency or Microwave systems and subsystems.
  • Proficiency in developing complex test programs with NI LabVIEW and/or Test Stand.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting measurement issues and isolating problems.
  • Proficiency in generating engineering documentation such as assembly and block diagrams.
  • Experience in Corrective/Preventative action process and implementation.
