About the position

CTR Group is seeking a Senior Avionics Systems Integration Engineer for an Aerospace Company located in the Dayton, OH area. This is an immediate opening, and the company is urgently hiring for this position. The role is hybrid, allowing for both in-office and remote work. The successful candidate will be responsible for avionics engineering, which includes the definition, development, integration, and verification of avionics subsystems. This encompasses a wide range of hardware and software systems, ensuring compliance with airworthiness certification and various testing requirements. The engineer will support Aircraft Information Management Systems (AIMS) requirements, testing, certification, and spectrum management. A strong understanding of Communications, Navigation, Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) requirements, policies, and regulations is essential for defining requirements and completing compliance matrices. The role also involves attending technical reviews, providing technical advice for the installation of new hardware and software, and assisting in the assessment of program-specific databases. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge in controls and displays, data bus, and data recording development, including performance and integrity assessments in accordance with FAA and DoD airworthiness/certification standards. The engineer will review technical documents to ensure compliance with specifications and airworthiness, summarizing findings and communicating results to program offices. Additionally, the role includes supporting technical interchange meetings regarding updates in controls, displays, data buses, and data recording equipment, as well as contributing to the development of requirements for future upgrades. The engineer will also assist in translating user requirements into weapons system requirements, which will guide the design, development, fabrication, testing, and evaluation of systems for fielding and deployment. Material solution analyses leading up to design reviews will also be part of the responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support avionics subsystem definition, development, integration, and verification methods.

Requirements

  • BS/MS degree in an ABET-accredited engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 15 years' functional area experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Skype/Lync) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the required level.
