About the position

CTR Group is seeking a Senior Systems Integration Engineer for our Aviation Engineering Support Services Client in the Macon, GA area. This is an immediate opening, and we are urgently hiring for this hybrid position, which allows for work both in the office located at Robins AFB and from home. The successful candidate will perform systems engineering tasks that encompass expertise in systems design and integration, manufacturing, quality and industrial engineering, airworthiness, and configuration and data management. In this role, you will assist in developing, deploying, and maintaining processes to ensure that weapon systems are fully integrated, manufactured, sustained, configuration managed, and operationally safe, suitable, and effective throughout their life cycle. You will be responsible for understanding and executing AFPD 62-6, USAF Airworthiness, through standardized processes and the issuance of flight authorizations. Your expertise will also be applied in OSS&E and airworthiness processes, providing risk assessments, safety analysis, and recommendations while addressing high-priority safety issues. The position requires a deep understanding of systems engineering in support of system definition, development, integration, verification methods, sustainment, risk modeling/simulation, testing and evaluation, human system integration (HSI), crew stations engineering, OSS&E efforts, interoperability requirements, and airworthiness certification across a wide range of hardware and software systems, including ground-based systems. You will review and assist in performing assessments on program-specific databases, analyze BIT failure reports, and provide system integration guidance to aircraft program offices for system installation and maintenance. Additionally, you will conduct performance effectiveness, cost effectiveness, life-cycle cost, producibility, maintainability, supportability, reliability, technical and schedule risk assessments, and scheduling trade-off studies. Your role will also involve providing technical expertise and proper application of systems engineering processes to support technology and systems development, as well as assisting in the development and review of the overall system design baseline, including architecture and interoperability requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform systems engineering tasks including systems design and integration.
  • Assist in developing, deploying, and maintaining processes for weapon systems integration and management.
  • Understand and execute AFPD 62-6, USAF Airworthiness through standardized processes.
  • Apply OSS&E and airworthiness processes, providing risk assessments and safety analysis.
  • Review and analyze technical proposals or modifications for design feasibility and system capability.
  • Conduct performance effectiveness, cost effectiveness, and life-cycle cost assessments.
  • Provide system integration guidance to the Government for program system installation and maintenance.
  • Assist in the development and review of the overall system design baseline.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in an ABET accredited engineering discipline and twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline, five (5) years of which must be in the DoD environment.
  • OR Bachelor's degree in an ABET accredited engineering discipline and fifteen (15) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline, five (5) years of which must be in the DoD environment.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering in support of system definition, development, integration, verification methods, sustainment, risk modeling/simulation, testing and evaluation, human system integration (HSI), crew stations engineering, OSS&E efforts, interoperability requirements, and airworthiness certification.
