About the position

The Systems Integration Engineer, Senior at Diaconia is responsible for performing systems engineering tasks that include systems design and integration, ensuring weapon systems are fully integrated and operationally safe throughout their life cycle. This role requires expertise in airworthiness, configuration management, and risk assessments, contributing to the development and maintenance of processes that support the integration and sustainability of military systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform systems engineering including systems design and integration.
• Assist in developing, deploying, and maintaining processes for weapon systems integration and operational safety.
• Understand and execute USAF Airworthiness through standardized processes.
• Apply OSS&E and airworthiness processes, providing risk assessments and safety analysis.
• Review and assist in assessments on program-specific databases and BIT failure reports.
• Provide system integration guidance to aircraft program offices.
• Conduct performance effectiveness, cost effectiveness, and life-cycle cost assessments.
• Assist in the development and review of the overall system design baseline.

Requirements

• BS/MS degree in an ABET-accredited engineering discipline.
• Advanced Degree (MA/MS) and 12 years of experience in the technical discipline, with 5 years in the DoD, or BA/BS degree with 15 years of experience, including 5 years in the DoD.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
