About the position

The Senior Systems Integration Engineer at Diaconia is responsible for performing systems engineering tasks, including systems design and integration, quality assurance, and airworthiness. This role involves developing and maintaining processes to ensure weapon systems are fully integrated and operationally safe throughout their lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in systems engineering, particularly within the Department of Defense (DoD), and will contribute to the growth and development of the industry by applying their knowledge and expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Perform systems engineering including expertise in systems design and integration, manufacturing, quality and industrial engineering, airworthiness, and configuration management.
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain processes to assure weapon systems are fully integrated and operationally safe throughout their lifecycle.
  • Execute AFPD 62-6, USAF Airworthiness through standardized processes and issuance of flight authorizations.
  • Apply OSS&E and airworthiness processes, providing risk assessments, safety analysis, and addressing high priority safety issues.
  • Support system definition, development, integration, verification methods, sustainment, risk modeling/simulation, testing and evaluation, and airworthiness certification across various systems.
  • Review and assess program-specific databases, analyze BIT failure reports, and provide system integration guidance to aircraft program offices.
  • Conduct performance effectiveness, cost effectiveness, and reliability assessments, and perform systems analyses including design feasibility and state-of-the-art assessments.
  • Provide technical expertise and application of systems engineering processes to support technology and systems development.

Requirements

  • BS/MS degree in an ABET-accredited engineering discipline.
  • Advanced Degree (MA/MS) and twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical discipline, five (5) years in the DoD, or BA/BS degree with fifteen (15) years of experience, five (5) in the DoD.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Skype/Lync) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the required level.
