About the position

JetZero is developing a blended wing aircraft that uses 50% less fuel and can accommodate zero-emission hydrogen propulsion. The company is looking for a Systems Integration Engineer to be responsible for the physical integration of various aerospace systems and components into the airframe. This role requires ensuring effective communication between internal and external teams and providing the necessary data for successful integration. The position is based in Long Beach, CA, and reports to the Head of Systems Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage integration processes for aerospace systems and components.
  • Utilize Siemens NX and Teamcenter for 3D modeling and Product Lifecycle Management to support integration tasks.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including structures engineers and system architects, to integrate and optimize aerospace systems.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for integration processes and interface control documents.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices for system integration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university. Advanced degrees are a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in system integration, preferably within the aerospace industry.
  • Strong experience with Siemens NX for design and integration tasks.
  • Proficiency in integrating complex systems, understanding of aerospace systems and components, and familiarity with industry standards and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment and adapt to changing priorities and challenges.
