About the position

The Systems Integration Engineer will support the AN/SQQ-89 Undersea Warfare Combat System program for the U.S. Navy. This role involves addressing various software, hardware, and infrastructure issues related to the integration of complex subsystems in a simulated tactical lab environment. The engineer will be responsible for configuring and managing network connectivity, developing test procedures, and providing support to partner organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Configuring and managing network/cross-site connectivity of servers, disk drives, displays, HMI, KVM, and BIOS
  • Developing and running test procedures
  • Asset allocation and configuration
  • Providing support to partner organizations
  • Potential need for limited CONUS travel (< 20%)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • 2+ years of engineering experience
  • Strong integration and debug skills
  • Knowledge of system hardware, software configuration, and hardware stand-up
  • Experience collaborating in a team environment for system development and HW/SW troubleshooting
  • Problem/issue reporting and tracking experience
  • Basic Linux experience
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (i.e., bash, csh, and ksh)

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledgeable in software programming languages (i.e., C++, Java, python)
  • Experience with compiling, installing, running, and testing software
  • Experience in Agile program execution and system engineering
  • Experience with software compilation utilities (i.e., GIT, Jenkins, Artifactory, Gradle)
  • Networking skills; familiar with Cisco router and switches
  • Previous experience with Anti-Submarine Warfare
  • Skills in coordinating with U.S. Navy customers, Program Office, and industry partners
