About the position

HX5 is currently seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to join our team in Dayton, Ohio at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base to support the Mobility Aircraft Office within the Mobility directorate. The role involves performing systems engineering tasks that include expertise in systems design and integration, manufacturing, quality and industrial engineering, airworthiness, and configuration and data management. The Systems Integration Engineer will execute AFPD 62-6, USAF Airworthiness, through standardized processes and issuance of flight authorizations. Additionally, the engineer will assist in reviewing, developing, and updating applicable program documentation for systems engineering relevant requirements and issues. This position is critical in ensuring that all systems meet the necessary standards and requirements for airworthiness and operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Perform systems engineering to include expertise in systems design and integration.
• Execute AFPD 62-6, USAF Airworthiness, through standardized processes and issuance of flight authorizations.
• Assist in reviewing, developing, and updating applicable program documentation for systems engineering relevant requirements/issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-Accredited program and fifteen (15) years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in engineering from an ABET-Accredited program and twelve (12) years of relevant experience.
• Five (5) years of Government Acquisition experience.
• Knowledge of systems engineering in support of system definition, development, integration, verification methods, sustainment, risk modeling/simulation, testing and evaluation, human system integration (HSI), crew stations engineering, OSS&E efforts, interoperability requirements, and airworthiness certification across a wide range of hardware and software systems.
