About the position

The Systems Integration Engineering (SIE) Test Automation Summer Intern will be responsible for developing test automation capabilities for Seagate's Systems Firmware and SIE organizations. This role involves creating a test automation platform, converting manual test cases into automated ones, and collaborating with software developers to enhance the automation framework. The intern will participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to the overall efficiency of the testing process.

Responsibilities

• Create test automation platform, write code, and implement it into multiple storage systems.
• Convert manual test cases into automated test cases.
• Use code libraries to simplify the writing of code.
• Run and fix any errors in programs, systems, and software.
• Review requirements and make any adjustments necessary in the automated tests.
• Collaborate with software developers in the creation of programs for their organization.
• Write/design test specs and test cases for the developers to create test cases.
• Participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies as part of the scrum team.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related program of study.
• Experience in Python development and test automation.

Nice-to-haves

• Jenkins knowledge is a plus.
• Experience and/or understanding of storage systems.
• Basic knowledge of RAID and Operating Systems.
