About the position

Peraton is seeking a Senior level Software Integration and Test Engineer to support the NOAA customer in Melbourne, FL. This role involves leading a team in system level software integration and testing activities for the SWFO-L1 satellite mission, which aims to collect data from the Sun. The position allows for a hybrid work schedule, combining on-site and remote support, and requires expertise in software development methodologies, automated testing tools, and RedHat Linux.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team performing system level software integration and test (I&T) activities for Satellite Ground Station Command and Control (C2) applications.
• Ensure system compatibility to meet program technical and schedule objectives.
• Test and integrate the C2 OS/COMET based systems from validation and verification to installation and commissioning.
• Generate test procedures for the validation and verification of software components.
• Analyze requirements for integration and/or testability issues.
• Support test readiness reviews and formal system verification of system requirements.
• Prepare final test reports and adopt best practices in documentation and testing.
• Utilize basic administration and configuration of RedHat Enterprise Linux to resolve configuration issues.

Requirements

• Minimum of 12+ years experience with a BS/BA degree; 10 years experience with an MS/MA; or 7 years with a PhD.
• Experience with software development methodologies and life cycles, specifications, and testing.
• Experience with implementing automated test tools.
• Experience in testing-to-requirements and building tests against system level requirements.
• Experience in product deployment and testing for releases.
• Experience with RedHat Linux.
• US citizen with the ability to complete and pass a federal government Public Trust background investigation.
