About the position

Join the Space Vehicle Systems Engineering, Integration & Test (SEIT) team at BAE Systems, where we are a diverse group of motivated problem solvers dedicated to making a difference in the field of aerospace. We pride ourselves on our commitment to creativity and technical excellence, and we are excited about the challenging projects we undertake. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to grow your skills and experience while contributing to missions that matter. We are looking for action-oriented, intellectually curious engineers who are eager to test space flight hardware and contribute to the future of space exploration. In this role, you will be part of a spacecraft/space vehicle test team, focusing on writing test scripts to support flight hardware testing. As an Engineer II, you will work closely with experts in the field and may have the opportunity to lead significant test activities on large space vehicle programs or take responsibility as a shift lead during spacecraft acceptance testing. This position offers the potential to grow into a role that will help define the future of scripting and test software within the Space Vehicle Test group at BAE Systems. Your responsibilities will include working in a fast-paced team environment to integrate and test spacecraft hardware, writing and executing test procedures and scripts, and collaborating with various teams to design the non-flight software environment. You will gain a detailed understanding of spacecraft subsystems and their operation, support space vehicle launch and commissioning campaigns, and prepare technical documentation and presentations for peers and management. This role requires regular in-person engagement, working on-site five days a week, and may involve travel between company campuses and other locations.
