The Systems Integration/Test Engineer position in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, involves planning, implementing, testing, documenting, and maintaining solutions for the integration and testing of both in-house developed and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) or Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) components, elements, subsystems, and systems. The engineer will establish functional and technical specifications and standards, solve hardware/software interface problems, define input/output parameters, and ensure the integration of the entire system or subsystem. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of system integration processes and the ability to coordinate subsystem and system testing activities with various programs and organizations. The engineer will be responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and deriving requirements for testability, as well as developing and directing the preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems. Analyzing test results and preparing detailed subsystem and system-level evaluation reports to verify and validate system performance is a critical part of the job. Additionally, the engineer will write reports and perform integration testing to verify and validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems, and systems. This position requires an active Secret clearance and a solid background in troubleshooting and debugging, as it involves supporting the existing installed test equipment base used on the production floor and developing new equipment.
