About the position

The Systems Integration/Test Engineer position is located in Orlando, FL, and is a 12-month contract role requiring an active secret clearance. The role involves planning, implementing, testing, documenting, and maintaining solutions for the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems, and/or systems. The engineer will synthesize customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Responsibilities include establishing functional and technical specifications and standards, solving hardware/software interface problems, defining input/output parameters, and ensuring integration of the entire system or subsystem. The engineer will also review, evaluate, and derive requirements for testability, develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems. Coordination of subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations is essential. The role requires performing analysis of test results and preparing comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance. Additionally, the engineer will write discrepancy reports and perform integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems, and systems.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 4 - 6 years experience with Software Development (C, C++, LabView preferred).
  • 4 - 6 years experience with Production.
  • 6+ years experience of Test Equipment Design.
  • 6+ years experience of Electronic Testing.
  • 6+ years experience of Mechanical Testing.
  • Ability to travel to Jacksonville FL Depot location ~30%.

Nice-to-haves

  • LabView/LabWindows CVI, NI experience in both development and maintenance capacities on complex systems.
  • Proficient SW skills in C, C++, coupled with ATE HW integration expertise.
  • Automated Test equipment development/maintenance experience in a high-volume production environment.
  • Source program is an Electro-Optic sensor solution for military platforms or a missile.
